The graph below is a composite of the horsepower and torque
curves for 1973-1974 Porsche 914 vehicles with the
2.0 liter four-cylinder "GA" coded engines. These more powerful
four-cylinder cars, initially marketed in the U.S. as the "Porsche
914-S," were meant to help fill the performance vacancy resulting from
production termination of the 914/6. Vehicles equipped with the 2.0L
"GA" code engines sold briskly due to the performance increase over the
1.7L "EA" engines and their lower price point than the discontinued
914/6 model. The 2.0L "GA" code is the most powerful of the production
914 four cylinder engines in all categories. Additional information
