Porsche 914 Horsepower & Torque:
1973 - 1974 2.0 Liter "GA" Engine Code

Best in Class

The graph below is a composite of the horsepower and torque curves for 1973-1974 Porsche 914 vehicles with the 2.0 liter four-cylinder "GA" coded engines. These more powerful four-cylinder cars, initially marketed in the U.S. as the "Porsche 914-S," were meant to help fill the performance vacancy resulting from production termination of the 914/6. Vehicles equipped with the 2.0L "GA" code engines sold briskly due to the performance increase over the 1.7L "EA" engines and their lower price point than the discontinued 914/6 model. The 2.0L "GA" code is the most powerful of the production 914 four cylinder engines in all categories. Additional information regarding the "GA" engines is located (not surprisingly) on the ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS page.
