1971 Porsche 914 Paint Colors & Codes
Standard and Consistent
The chasses for the Porsche 914 and Porsche 914/6
model lines were all produced by Karmann in the
same factory on the same production line. Unlike their 914/6
counterparts, the four-cylinder Porsche 914 cars used
Volkswagen paint
code conventions consistently throughout their seven-year
production
run. Of course, the marketing folks needed something to do, so
the
color names sometimes differed from the VW models with the
same paint
codes.
